What does ‘recurring’ commission mean?

Where it says ‘recurring’ next to your commissions under the ‘Commissions’ tab, this refers to the rule that commission will be awarded to the affiliate for each sale they generate, rather than just the first for a given program or a given customer.

This does not mean that commission will be paid multiple times or on a recurring basis for one transaction, for example, for monthly packages or subscriptions. Grow uses ‘single event’ tracking, meaning commissions are only awarded based on a single transaction even where a customer has set this up as the first payment in a series. So affiliates only earn commission for the first payment, not for any subsequent ones.

However, if a customer returns whilst the affiliate’s cookie is still valid (within 30 days) and makes another separate transaction, the affiliate will earn commission on this transaction too.
