Vertical Sites are a form of content sites that can include online magazines, journals, blogs, forums and user portals which have a specific topical focus or niche. They monetise the traffic that comes to their site by sending users to an advertiser’s page usually via either a banner or a text link.
Traffic volume tends to be lower for these than for more generalist sites, but they are trusted by audiences of their niche and therefore the conversion rate is often higher.
