If your product feed isn't connecting to the platform correctly and shows zero products, there might be an issue with your CSV file.
- CSV File Format: PrestaShop, Shopify, and WooCommerce PlugIn’s require all feeds to be in CSV format. Our system needs each product's data to be on a single line. If this isn't the case for example, if a product description is too long and spills over to the next line - the system might reject the feed.
- Restricted Characters: Certain characters are not allowed in your CSV feed, including &, #, €, the pound sign (£), and mixed usage of single and double quotes in a sentence. For example, sentences like “I am ’generating’ a feed” or ‘I am “generating” a feed’ can cause problems. Choose either single or double quotes and use them consistently throughout your entire feed.
- Feed URL Issues: If your manual product feed stops working, it could be because the feed URL is no longer functional. This could be due to the feed expiring or significant changes being made to the feed's structure. If this happens, you need to generate a new feed and provide us with the new URL.
By ensuring the correct CSV file formatting, sticking to the character guidelines, and keeping your feed URL updated, you can effectively manage product feed linking and ensure a smooth connection to the Grow platform.
